A message from sister Tara Vaughan

“It has truly been a blessing to be the Archon of Phi Sigma Sigma this past year. When I initially came out for recruitment in Spring 2014, I really did not know what to expect. I was trying to find a place to call home and friendships that would last. My confidence was low and I always felt like I had to prove myself to stand out. Once I became a member of Phi Sig, I felt that sense of fulfillment that I was longing during my college experience. I started running for leadership positions and eventually elected to be President of this organization. Leading a group of 71 women is challenging and exhausting, but ultimately worthwhile. I have matured so much within the past year and learned how to take responsibility and delegate tasks to others. If I weren’t Archon, I would not have found unique friendships with my other Executive Board members. We have a special bond that will never be replaced: I can laugh about every good or bad memory we ever shared. Being the Archon is about being versatile and gaining full fledged support and trust from your sisters. Luckily, I can say that the support and trust from my sisters has never been greater. The end of this incredible journey is going to be bittersweet, but I know that I made an impact on Phi Sig’s overall growth. I cannot thank Phi Sig enough for boosting my confidence and turning me into the leader I am today.”

Thank you for your service to the chapter Tara! We are so grateful for everything you have done for us. We cannot wait to see what our new Archon, Erin Vandette, brings!
